Crisis or not, 8th GREEN LIGHT launches!
The coronavirus rages out of control and shuffles the cards on all fronts. The Green Light Accelerator program also received a few changes. But don't worry, you won't lose the opportunity to start your own business this year either. Preparations are running at 120% and registration of applications starts on October 1!
So what will the 8th year look like this year?
You can be inspired by those who have reached the top of business. Who doesn't know the story of Tomáš Baťa, who, despite the crisis, was able to expand his production all over the world. Coco Chanel, who became an icon of the fashion industry at the time when women did not belong to the world of business, or Elon Musk, who succeeds in what others find impossible. We look forward to your ideas and will do everything to ensure that your "stories" also have a happy ending.
We also listened to the opinions of former participants of the program, and worked even harder on the composition of the workshops. You should leave with a fantastic business plan, a head full of useful information, a verified product or service and possibly even an incentive from an investor.
New mentors have joined our team, who have gone through the startups themselves and will be useful guides for you throughout the program. We will start the Accelerator itself this time in January with an introductory Kick-off meeting. It will start four months of work, which will give your business a concrete shape. We also have in reserve an online version in case of a covid emergency, so you won't miss any workshop. You will be able to capitalize on all your efforts at the StartUp Show, which we hope will take place on April 29, 2021.
The Green Light program has been running for 8 years and 340 projects have applied for it. Anyone can submit their ideas - high school and university students as well as those of the general public who are interested.
Green Light is being prepared by Vysoká škola báňská - Technical University of Ostrava in cooperation with the Moravian-Silesian Region, SDE Software Solutions and a number of other partners. The program is supported from the budget of the Moravian-Silesian Region.
